Middle Branch Trail

Middle Branch Trail connects Canton’s parks and neighborhoods. The trail is a major artery in the county’s trail system. Since 2001, the trail has been constructed in several segments. It is located between the Hoover Park Connector Trail and the Pioneer Trail. In addition, it is planned to connect to the West Branch Trail.

The Middle Branch Trail is maintained by Stark Parks. The trail is also part of the Clean Ohio Trail Fund. Several segments have been completed since 2001, including the section from Schreiber Park to GlenOak High School. Eventually, it will be rerouted from Boulder Creek Ave NE to Southbrook Cir NE. This route will also cross Schneider Street NE.

The trail is mostly limestone and travels through open terrain. It also passes through Martindale Park and the Nimishillen Creek. A portion of the trail follows the railroad tracks, while a section winds through the trees. There are restrooms along the trail.

Picnic shelter

A picnic in the park is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. Not to mention, the surrounding communities of Adamstown and Brownstown offer plenty of cultural tidbits for the dedicated explorer. The best way to see them all is by foot. In addition to a host of historical and geological sites, the community boasts a plethora of parks and sports venues.
